You’re invited to celebrate our wedding this June in Marsela’s home country of Albania!
Marsela has mostly experienced Albania and the US as disconnected worlds, separated by ocean, language, and culture. When Mark visited for the first time in the summer of ‘22, he shattered that invisible wall. It was the ultimate bring your boyfriend home to meet the family test 😅
And, even though it still feels surreal that our friends from college will be standing alongside family from a small village in Albania, we are excited to bring these two worlds together for our wedding weekend!
Albania is on the up and up, but it isn’t as tourist-friendly as other European destinations just yet, so we’ve put together this website with resources that may be helpful as you plan your journey. You can find a schedule of events, travel recommendations, and a list of our favorite spots in case you want to explore while you’re in town.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception

The ceremony will be held in English, and our reception will bring together Albanian and US traditions. Brush up on your traditional Albanian dancing (valle)! Transportation to the venue will be provided for guests staing at the Tirana Marriott. Attire: Garden Party Formal, but please wear whatever you’re most comfortable in!

Farewell Brunch

Brunch at the hotel. If you’re around, feel free to stop by and say hi on your way home. This is casual, buffet style. Please stop by any time!
